Finally, after 3 months or so of job hunting, I got 2 job offers, and while I choose the first rather impulsively, I went with the second. The company is MEDecsion down in Wayne, PA and I'll be working as an ASP Application Admin. Basically I'll be doing a very similar role to what I was doing at Sungard, but for a company that seems much more organized. Their environment is mostly a Linux (AIX and websphere) so I'm really looking forward to expanding my tech knowledge into those areas. The manager is great, the team is awesome, and I'm just looking forward to getting back to work. I miss working. I know it sounds silly, but 3 months of sitting around, hoping and waiting, really sucks. I believe I start Aug 9th so now I have to spend the rest of my free time brushing up on Websphere knowledge and getting my stuff together. I'm happy and excited again and definitely looking forward to seeing what comes next. Now I just have to figure out how to pull down the resumes I've been posting so I can stop getting the phone calls from recruiters... ran up my cell phone bill! hahaha
